This Cookie Policy describes how letrabet.com uses cookies and similar
storage technologies, what each cookie does, and how you can give,
withdraw, or change your consent. It is published pursuant to the
ePrivacy Directive, the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), and the
French Loi Informatique et Libertés as enforced by the CNIL.

Versions in other languages. The French version of this policy is
the legal-binding version under French law. Other language versions are
provided for the convenience of international readers; in case of any
discrepancy, the French version prevails.

This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and our
Legal Notice.

A “cookie” is a small text file that a website places on your device
when you visit it. Modern websites use cookies (and similar
technologies such as localStorage) for purposes ranging from
remembering your language preference to enabling shopping carts to
tracking visitor behaviour across sites. Some are essential to the
website’s basic operation; others are optional and require your
consent before they are set.

When you arrive at letrabet.com for the first time (and after any
change to this policy), a consent banner appears at the bottom of the
page. The banner explains in plain language which categories of cookies
we would like to use, and gives you three options:

  • Accept all — consent to every cookie category.
  • Cookie settings — choose individually which categories you
    consent to.
  • Reject all (where shown by the banner) — refuse every category
    except those strictly necessary for the site to operate.

No non-essential cookie is set until you have given consent. Your
choice is recorded in a small cookie of its own (see §3.1) so that we
do not have to ask you on every page. You can change or withdraw your
consent at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link displayed by the
banner.

3. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into five categories. The first is always active;
the other four require your consent.

3.1 Strictly necessary (always active)

These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be
switched off in our consent banner. They are set in response to
actions you make — such as accepting cookies, logging into the
WordPress administration area, or submitting a form — and they do not
store any personal information beyond what is technically required for
those operations.

3.2 Functional cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality (such as remembering a
language preference). Today letrabet.com does not set any
functional cookie — our multilingual setup uses URL paths rather than
cookies for language selection, so the visit-language cookie has been
deliberately disabled.

3.3 Performance cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the site
by collecting information anonymously. Today letrabet.com does not
set any performance cookie.

3.4 Analytics cookies

These cookies would collect statistical information about how
visitors use the site. Today letrabet.com does not use any
analytics service (no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no Plausible, no
other web-analytics tool) and no analytics cookie is set.

3.5 Other / third-party cookies

A small number of third-party resources may set cookies if their
content is loaded as part of a page. These are loaded only after you
have given consent through the banner.

We are working to self-host the Google Font used by the site, which
will remove the Google Fonts network request entirely. The Google Maps
widget remains because the sidebar map is part of the site’s design;
its load is gated by your consent.

4. Third-party services and your data

Loading a third-party resource (such as a Google Maps tile) involves
sending technical data (your IP address, browser identifier, and the
URL of the page that loaded the resource) to the third party. This is
true even where no persistent cookie is set. The third parties named
above each have their own privacy policies; the most relevant are:

The legal basis for any consent-gated transfer is your consent given
through the banner; for strictly necessary services it is our
legitimate interest in operating a functional and secure website.

You can change your cookie choices at any time:

  • Click the “Cookie Settings” or “Manage consent” link
    displayed by the cookie banner (typically at the bottom of every
    page). The banner reopens and you can adjust your choices.
  • You can also delete cookies directly from your browser settings;
    most browsers offer a “Clear cookies” or “Clear site data” option.
  • You can block cookies entirely in your browser settings; this may
    affect the functionality of letrabet.com and many other websites.

in the cookies we use or in legal requirements. Material changes will
be notified through a prominent notice on the website and a fresh
consent prompt where required. The current version date is shown
