Le Trabet is easy accessible by car, airplane and train. It is 15 minutes away from Carcassonne, and one hour’s drive from Toulouse. We have summarized some options for you below.

Travel by Plane

There are several airports to choose from for your trip to Le Trabet if you choose to arrive by plane. The largest airport is in Toulouse (TLS), but good flights to Carcassonne (CCF), Perpignan-Rivesaltes (PGF) and Montpellier (MPL) are also available.

Blagnac airport in Toulouse is only one hour’s drive from Le Trabet and has flights from many international destinations. Direct flights to Toulouse (list of destinations) are available from many cities such as from Amsterdam (KLM), London (British Airways and Air France), Brussels (SN Brussels Airlines), Frankfurt or Munich (Lufthansa), and Paris (Air France) among others.

Carcassonne has a small airport named “Aeroport Sud de France Carcassonne“. The Irish carrier Ryanair offers direct flights to Carcassonne from London (Stansted), Liverpool, East Midlands, Bournemouth, Glasgow, Preswick, Dublin, Eindhoven, Brussels (Charleroi), Paris Beauvais, Porto and Billund. Ryanair equally serves the regional airports of Montpellier (destinations) and Perpignan (destinations), both of which are approximately 90 minutes from Carcassonne.

Travel by Car

Le Trabet is easy to reach by car as Carcassonne is connected directly to the A61, the motorway reaching from Bordeaux on the French Atlantic coast via Toulouse all the way to Narbonne and the French Mediterranean coast. This “Route entre Les Deux Mers” makes Carcassonne and Le Trabet easily accessible by car from every major city in Europe.

Travel by Train

The Carcassonne train station offers direct connections to Toulouse and Montpellier, both of which are part of the European network of high-speed trains. It is convenient to rent a car from Hertz in Carcassonne, the Hertz office is located just outside the Carcassonne railway station.
